Cold Running - Replacing Thermostat - Fiat Panda/Fiat 500/Ford Ka/Chrysler Ypsilon

Описание к видео Cold Running - Replacing Thermostat - Fiat Panda/Fiat 500/Ford Ka/Chrysler Ypsilon

This Fiat Panda 1.2 Dynamic Eco from 2009 was slow to warm up/running cool and the coolant temperature gauge stayed in the cold segment/was reading cool while the vehicle was in motion.
The Fiat Panda shares technology with the Fiat 500, Ford Ka and Chrysler Ypsilon. Whilst there may be differences, they share the same platform and running gear.
In this video I replace the thermostat, which is in the form of a coolant flange which mounts to the end of the cylinder head. I also replenish the antifreeze/coolant using Petronas concentrate which I mix 50/50 with water.
I bleed the system via the bleed screw/valve and run the engine until the coolant fan cuts in and cycles on/off a few times.
The vehicle now runs at normal operating temperature which will improve fuel efficiency/mpg as the engine ECU will no longer believe the engine is still warming up, based on the signal from the coolant temperature sensor.
