Isabel Dziobek hilft mit ihrer Forschung Menschen des autistischen Spektrums. Dafür arbeitet die Professorin für Klinische Psychologie sozialer Interaktion an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin eng mit Betroffenen zusammen: Gemeinsam dekodieren sie die komplexe Sprache der Emotionen und entwickeln Hilfsmittel, um besser durch die tägliche Flut nonverbaler Kommunikation zu navigieren. Dziobek, die auch Mitglied am Einstein Center Neurosciences ist, setzt sich zudem als Mentorin engagiert für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs - besonders den weiblichen - ein.

[EN] Isabel Dziobek's research helps people living on the autistic spectrum. For that, the professor for Clinical Psychology of Social Interaction at the HU Berlin works closely with those affected: Together they decode the complex language of emotions and develop tools to better navigate through the daily flood of non-verbal communication. Dziobek, who is a member of the Einstein Center Neurosciences, is furthermore a dedicated mentor for young scientists - especially women.
