Hi folks today we are going to talk about the most controversial topic of the week------yeah its Whatsappp !!!!!

So last week we all received a major update on whatsapp Privacy policy where it was mentioned that the users need to accept the changes on or before 8th of Feb else have to leave whatsapp. Though on 16th of this month whatsaap has extended the deadline until 15th of may
One more thing if you noticed there were only 2 options given either agree and update /or not now, there was no room for disagreeing, in simple a forceful implementation of the policy on the users.

So, I am pretty much sure, Most of us accept the policy of many 3rd party apps and give access to our device without reading them carefully, but sometimes they may hit our privacy. So next time be careful before you allow the permissions to 3rd party apps.

To disable all the unnecessary permissions given to the 3rd party apps you can go to setting apps and the particular app and disable the permission .

Whatsapp controversy.

1. Will whatsapp be sharing our chats with fb and will it be readable?
Well the answer is NO, our chats will be end to end encrypted. E2E encryption in lay men's way can be explained as the way of locking the text that the sender is sending and the key of that lock will only be available to the sender and the receiver. No one in between can access that, not even whatsapp.

2. Then if not the chats, then which data whatsapp is going to share?
The answer to the question is almost everything about the device in which the app is installed and whatsapp pretty much clearly said that thing in their official website.

3. When it comes to business chats, the data we share can be visible to many people related to the business. if the people with whom you are sharing your private data faces any security breaches then automatically your data will also become vulnerable. And whatsapp clearly mentioned it.

4. Earlier in the year 2014 whtasapp said that they wont show any kind of adds in their platform, but according to the new privacy policy whatsapp is trying to say that they don’t have any intensions of doing something like that, but if they ever do something like this they will update the policy in the future

And may be in near future whatsapp as well will start showing adds. And is not that surprising to be honest. Afterall it’s a free for all app but fb invested 19 billion dollars in 2014 and they need to get back the money they invested right ?????
And most of us are aware of the Fb-Cambdrige Analytica controversary and facebookb is the parent company of whatsapp!!!

5. Now another important thing is: whatsapp will not only share the data with fb companies but to all those 3rd party service providers that are related to fb menacing .

The recent tweets from whatsapp they look more like a damage control strategy after seeing the users migrating to other messaging apps.

6. We have talked about so many problems Now what is the solution to those problems ????
Stop using whatsapp completely…which I think may become lil problematic for many because right now most of us are into the web of whatsapp we are connected to our friends or fam using whatsaapp.
But this is the high we take this thing seriously and start migrating to apps like signal which as well is cofounded by Mr Brian Acton and is downloaded 17.8 million times after the whatsapp privacy controversary and still counting.
Now just like signal whatsapp once used to be a secure app for us….but we don’t know who gonna acquire this app tomorrow.
Now its all in the hand of the Govt of the country, hope they take some steps towards our data privacy just like Europe. citizens
I would like to conclude by saying, even few weeks back whatsapp used to be a secure place for all of us, but today it is not….Now we don’t know who will be acquiring the apps like telegram and signal and how they will change the policies in the coming future
