Trump Acquittal - Scenes from the US Capitol where it is eerily quiet and basically empty.

Donald Trump was acquitted on an impeachment vote of 57-43 with 67 needed to convict. Despite there being an incoming ice storm, I decided it would be interesting to see what was going on outside the US Capitol fence. Would there be protestors? Would there be people celebrating? And the answer—there is a whole lot of nothing. National Guard soldiers in winter rain gear, standing along a fence line that was empty. It took me a while just to find ONE protestor, and he’s there all the time. I also found some anti-Trump billboard trucks that have been paid for by some political action committee, but even they were just parked resting in the cold winter’s rain.
