Dynasty Warriors 8: XL CE - Wu Story Mode 8 - Battle of Ruxukou (Ultimate)

Following up the defeat of Hefei, this is like a round two against Zhang Liao. Things turn out better this time, but Zhang Liao still looks badass by quite literally tossing Gan Ning and Ling Tong around in cutscene. I do love how strong Zhang Liao has become it takes Gan Ning, Ling Tong, and Lu Meng fighting him all at once just to get him to retreat.

I'm playing Gan Ning this time around, who has a pretty damn fun moveset. He takes the flail from DW7 Cao Ren and uses it way better than he ever did. It's really fast, has a ton of range, hits hard, and even has grabs in his moveset and musou to just ignore the enemy's guard. To top it off he's one of the types that can cancel his charge attacks into a dash, meaning he can combo better than most.
