Are Reform UK A Thorn In The Side Of The Tories?

Reform UK has achieved its best-ever results in recent by-elections, sending a clear warning to the Tories before the next general election. The party got double-digit vote shares in both Wellingborough and Kingswood, matching its national polling levels. Richard Tice, the leader, sees these performances as a "defining moment," making Reform UK a "significant force" in UK politics.

However, some Conservative MPs are concerned that the rise of the Right-wing party could jeopardize many Conservatives and potentially help Sir Keir Starmer become the Prime Minister indirectly. Reform secured over 10% of the vote in Kingswood, near Bristol, coming in third place, even though Tice acknowledged it was not their usual type of seat.
