This song has been recorded LIVE at our ancestral home Ambica Mandir, located at Sourin Roy Road, Behala. This broken space on our terrace where we jammed has special significance in the initial years of Mohiner Ghoraguli's front man. Gautam Chattopadhyay grew up in Behala and in his early twenties would often visit our house for adda sessions/jams with his guitar. Along with his group of friends which included my dad Partha Roy, Dilip Kaku, Pradeep Kaku... they would listen to western music on a gramophone in the chilekotha room. Those days were the formative years of the legend, the beginning of his musical journey. Perhaps some his first writings were tested out in this very room!
We are honoured to pay a tribute to the legend and this space where many musical ideas brewed.
