Why you should visit

In this #rajasthan #journey we are going to visit bishnoi village, which was full of surprises.

We came across an unexpected experience of #wildlife. Bishnoi names came from 29 rules that they follow very strictly. Fe of them are like never cut down or eat anything green. (green is alive according to the community), never eat meat or drink or tobaco use.

In our journey we met with the mukhiya ji of the village, who shared few insights about the what it means to be bishnoi and how they are keeping the culture alive.

After which we visited prajapat community which makes handmade daris(carpet), the family is making carpet since 13-14 generations and takes their work very seriously. I tried my luck with it but it is not only hard but a very delicate matter.

Then we head towards the chapua community, which makes handmade printed cloths. The guys explained us how they make certain colours pop or fade, which is very interesting. even before chemistry word was invented this community was using the chemistry to make cloths.

We head back to the #zostel however, we felt hungry so we went out and searched half of the jodhpur for food, but finally at #railwaystation we found a stall open and had poha at 3:30 pm. This journey has not failed yet to provide me with an learning experience.
