This autobiographical interview was conducted by Kelly Leonard and his mother, Joan (Waltz) Leonard on July 15, 1994, at Audrey's home in Hartford City, Blackford County, Indiana, United States. Audrey passed away in December 1994, five months after the interview. Audrey was a 2nd cousin to Kelly's father and a half 2nd cousin to Joan's maternal grandmother.
