This is a review of the MSI GE65 Raider, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop with NVMe storage options, 240Hz screen, RTX 2070 graphics and a SteelSeries keyboard.

Note, for this review I was supplied with an engineering sample with slightly lesser specs than the full release model, however, it still performed well.

Highlights to the MSI GE65 Raider include:
Frustrating keyboard layout - thin enter key, close slung directional keys (intersect numpad), windows key on the right instead of the left for some reason
Per key illumination with built-in SteelSeries keyboard
TURBO button, SteelSeries button and power - these are a bit fiddly as they're recessed into the frame
Light up USB ports
Slim (ish) top and side bezels
TURBO makes things LOUD
Venting sucks air from underneath and blows it out the back.
240Hz refresh rate (available) this one is 144
Ray tracing capable
SteelSeries near the power button switches between various key colour schemes and presets
Gold Splash
FPS
MMO
MOBA
Free way
Chakra
Disco Mode
Roulette
HDMI and mini DisplayPort for outputting to two other screens but only at 60Hz. Claims to be capable of 4K (3840x2160) resolution
Dynaudio sound system - claims larger speakers with an "innovative design".
Cold metal body chills the wrists
Frustrating keyboard laout - even simple things like the delete key being on the right edge
Loud fans kick in with simple things, like Chrome high memory usage.
MSI Dragon centre has tracking for load data and things like visual changes to the screen (blue light filter, gamer mode, movies, etc).
