Attempts by civil societies in Benin City to protest sharp increase in prices of Cement in Edo State was today disrupted by security agencies.

Efosa Uwangue reports that the security personnel mainly attached to the Edo State Police command locked the protesters inside the Museum ground at the Kings Square, where they had gathered as take-off points.
