The Entire film industry came together and in voice demanding the Bharat Ratna for thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao, as they showered him with praise here on 9th April 2012.

The occasion was the platinum jubilee felicitations for ANR, as he is popular, for completing about 75 years in the film industry, including a few years as a stage artise, at the Shilpa Kala Vedika.
దాదాసాహేబ్‌ ఫాల్కే అవార్డు గ్రహీత మహానటుడు, అక్కినేని నాగేశ్వరరావు 75 ఏళ్ళ నట జీవన వేడుకలు 9 ఏప్రిల్ 2012 న శిల్ప కళా వేదికలో ఘనంగా జరిగాయి. టి. సుబ్బరామిరెడ్డి లలిత కళా పరిషత్‌ తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమలు సంయుక్తంగా నిర్వహించిన వేడుకలలో అక్కినేనిని ఘనంగా సన్మానించారు. ఈ సన్మానోత్సవానికి తెలుగు సినిమా రంగానికి చెందిన అతిరథమహారథులు తరలివచ్చారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ నల్లారి కిరణ్‌కుమార్‌రెడ్డి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా విచ్చేశారు.
