With Facebook Partner Categories using 3rd party data going away soon, we are starting to look at where to go next for clients that have been relying on this data to effectively target the right customers. Snapchat marketing looks like our next logical step and we are excited to see the additional options available on the platform.

The third-party data partner Categories are gradually being phased out with the total sunset of the targeting scheduled for October 1st.

If you haven’t used them before, you probably won’t miss them. If you have been using them to target consumer behaviors you are probably asking what’s next?

The popular targeting options from data providers like Acxiom, Experian, Datalogix, and Oracle will no longer be available for new campaigns starting Aug 15th, and then all campaigns targeting that data will stop running completely on October 1st, 2018.

A majority of the data that was available within the Facebook Ad Center, is now available on the Snapchat platform, along with additional data that is unique to Snapchat.

Previously marketing on Snapchat through paid ads was limited to going through an approved agency. Recently Snapchat opened up their ad platform to self-service ads as well, after going public in March 2017.

In the video, we walk through each of the targeting options available and what industries they are of interest to as well.

Watch out for a followup video once we begin rolling out new campaigns for our clients on the Snapchat platform.
