This is a cover of the song "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66". It is a popular rhythm and blues song, composed in 1946 by American songwriter Bobby Troup. The lyrics relate to a westward road trip taken by Troup and his wife Cynthia. U.S. Route 66, was a highway which traversed the western two-thirds of the U.S. from Chicago, Illinois, to Los Angeles, California. In 1985 the highway was de-certified by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, after that US 66 officially ceased to exist.
