Barcelona city walking tour in historic El Born quarter. An early morning street walk without a plan. No tourists, no crowds of people or the hustle and bustle of the big city. Just the natural sights and urban sounds of a city coming to life: graffiti-painted shuttered shop windows, locals walking their dogs, pigeons cooing, cleaners and street washers, random passers-by... Because of the tall houses and narrow streets, the sounds in the video have a natural echo.

Barcelona's El Born neighbourhood is the lower section of the La Ribera district. This is one of the trendiest and most touristic districts in the old city. It is a popular place for expats and contains many art boutiques, bars and cafés. Many of the buildings date from late Medieval times.
