Boeing Winnipeg’s overall divisional strategy was to consolidate their manufacturing operations into one factory and eliminate the need for leased facilities.

By having all of our team members consolidated into one location achieves several objectives:
Saves money from the cost of leasing, securing and cleaning two extra buildings.
Reduces the potential risk of damage to parts as they are transported back and forth between sites.
Improves our workflow and ability to communicate with each other by being in one building.
Saves time for those team members who have to travel between sites for their work.

At the start of this project, Boeing Winnipeg’s manufacturing operations were split into 3 separate factories; Murray Park drive (main factory), Redwood Ave (leased facility), and Saskatchewan Ave (leased facility).

The scope of this project was to clear out, restore and close the 113,000sqft Saskatchewan Ave leased facility, by relocating operations to the remaining two factories and transferring operations out to Boeing composite suppliers prior to the lease expiry on June 30th, 2014.
