My client saw a huge increase in her podcast downloads when she made this one shift. So, let me say that this client knew what she was talking about. She was very knowledgeable, and she was more than capable of running a successful podcast. She was consistent, and she was hoping that would help her in the long run. But, she was really feeling the struggle of low download numbers, and when she reached out, I soon knew why. She wasn't editing her podcast AT ALL! The first thing I did was a podcast audit and while the content was excellent, the actual episode itself was not.
