Why Was This Hi Hat Combo So Popular? - Zildjian K/Z Hi Hats

Today we're looking at a piece of gear that has become the stuff of legends. The not-so-secret trick of using a Zildjian K top hi hat with a Z bottom hat was popularized decades ago, and remained popular enough to the point where Zildjian themselves released an official "version" of this combo.

I've got a pair of old 13s in this video, so let's talk about what makes them so cool, and take 'em for a spin.
