Guarding the pick and roll can be difficult, and most teams get a majority of their offensive production from ballscreens.

In this video, we look at FC Barcelona, and how they used their ballscreen coverage to create steals on a consistent basis. There are certain patterns that happen over and over in the pick & roll, and if you can recognize those patterns and anticipate the next pass - it can lead to a lot of steals.

This primarily works best with any type of "hedge" coverage as opposed to switching, but there is one clip at the end that shows how you can use these principles if you switch.
