Best practices in Capacity Building: How can building a community of engineering educators improve the process of teaching and learning?
During this seminar, Prof. Arnold Pears will discuss the results of his SteppingStones project organized in Sweden in 2006-2007.
The aim of this project was to build a community of engineering educators and to increase their familiarity with evaluation and research approaches to assess the impact of classroom interventions. Thanks to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) at institutional and national level an investigative ‘capacity’ was realized by drawing together a pool of engineering education expertise.
