Una vez instalado en Lima, Perú, Raymond Thevenot se impuso la meta desafiante de vivir solo y para la música folklórica de Latinoamérica, sin embargo y gracias a su tezón, las posibilidades artísticas fueron aumentando, es así como al poco tiempo, logra formar su primer conjunto en tierra peruana con el nombre de “Macchu Picchu”.
Desde ese momento los éxitos y los reconocimientos se acumulan, se le abren las opciones de grabar sus primeros discos para los sellos RCA y luego CBS, aunque años después y gracias al avance tecnológico, logre encumbrar sus mejores producciones bajo el sello MGP, con quienes consolidó su carrera discográfica. La mejor muestra de ello, son los lanzamientos anteriormente presentados como Masterpices Vol. 1 y 2.
Pero la curiosidad y el incansable deseo de conocer más y mejor a este continente que ya había abrazado como suyo, lo hace incursionar brillantemente de la mano de su quena viajera, para interpretar prácticamente todo el repertorio latinoamericano y eso es exactamente lo que les ofrecemos en esta producción, acertadamente denominada. Quena sin Fronteras.
Porque las fronteras tampoco pudieron impedir que entre los años 1977 y 1984, Raymond Thevenot viajara cientos de veces a diferentes países del mundo, llevando siempre consigo la música andina como mochila inseparable y representando al Perú en diversos festivales internacionales…con ustedes, el mejor flautista andino.

Once established in Lima, Peru, Raymond Thevenot imposed him the challenging goal of living only and for the Latin American folklore music, however, thanks to his tenacity, the artistic possibilities were increasing, and in a short period, he manages to form his first group on the Peruvian land with the name “Machu Picchu.”
Since then, the achievements and recognition were accumulating, there were options of recording his first albums for the record labels RCA and then CBS, although years later and thanks to technological advances, elevated his productions under the MGP label, with them he consolidated his recording career. The best examples of this are the earlier masterpiece releases presented as Volume 1 and 2.
Nevertheless, curiosity and relentless desire to know more and better the continent that he already had embraced as his own, he brilliantly penetrated with his traveling quena to interpret practically all the Latin American repertoire, and that's exactly what we offer in this production, appropriately named. Quena Without Borders.
Because the borders could not prevent between 1977 and 1984, Raymond Thevenot to travel hundreds of times to different countries around the world, taking with him the Andean music as inseparable backpack and representing Peru in various international festivals, with you, the best Andean flutist.
