SYNOPSIS:
After her divorce, Akosua (played by Nana Ama McBrown), a Ghanaian schoolteacher, is ready to love again. She meets Adrian (Anwar Jamison), an American, and together they dream of leaving Ghana to start a new chapter in the U.S. However, their path is not smooth. Akosua’s family struggles to accept Adrian, viewing him with suspicion and preferring she stay rooted in Ghana. Meanwhile, Adrian’s brother Buck (Khalil Kain) arrives in Ghana seeking business opportunities. Unbeknownst to him, a desperate gangster in Ghana notices his presence and targets him, escalating the danger for the entire group. As pressures mount from both family expectations and criminal threats, Akosua and Adrian’s dream of a peaceful life is jeopardized. They must navigate loyalty, love, trust—and whether the promise of a future in America is worth the risks.
