A bill that offers $1.4 billion in tax credits for movie studios to film at a production campus was brought back to a special session that kicked off in Carson City on Thursday.

That campus is proposed near Town Center and Flamingo.

It's a partnership between Howard Hughes Holdings, Sony Pictures, and Warner Bros. — requiring a $4.5 billion investment in film production over the next 15 years.

The bill, now Assembly Bill 5 in special session, was heard in committee on Thursday.

There were packed rooms in Carson City and Las Vegas with people wanting to speak on the issue.
