Weekend Vlog :: starting a new phase, watermelon update, Lord of the Rings Orchestra 8/9-8/11

This weekend was a very exciting one, as we finally got to experience something we had been looking forward to since January!

Friday night, mom and I went out on our weekly big grocery run. We switched it up just a little bit by visiting a different area of Orlando. The Sam's club we went to didn't have everything we needed, so we went out on Saturday morning to the one close to us that has what we were looking for. Then it was time to go to TJ Maxx (as a treat) to smell fall scented candles.
Later on Saturday, we had some fun time in the pool until the thunder and lightning signaled it was time to get out.

Sunday was the most exciting day of the weekend. We had a beautiful quiche for breakfast before leaving for the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando. We had purchased tickets to the Lord of the Rings orchestra performance. The show was fantastic, and we're already excited for the tickets for the next movie to become available. For dinner, we went out to Maggiano's to celebrate a wonderful day out, and to acknowledge our hard work on our new diet over the last six weeks.

As a note about our new diet - this weekend ended the first big phase of our diet. Monday 8/12 started the next phase, which we will follow until the beginning of September. I'm so proud of all of us, and excited to finally get our health and weight managed.
