Ford Mondeo ST220 w. Milltek Exhaust - Onboard, Revs, Walkaround!

Описание к видео Ford Mondeo ST220 w. Milltek Exhaust - Onboard, Revs, Walkaround!

In this video, I do a little showcase on my friend Ryans Ford Mondeo ST220, which he has had since 2013. Since he bought it, Ryan has covered 80,000 miles in it in the first 5 years of ownership, doing a lot of travel and road trips across Europe. He then bought a C63 AMG, which was his main car at the time of filming this. Once the C63 arrived, the ST220 took a bit of a back step, and has mainly just been sat in storage. Ryan plans to never get rid of this car, as the sentimental value is worth more than the value of the car, and ST220's are quite scarce on the roads and good examples are demanding a fair bit these days. The example that you see in this video has covered just shy of 150k miles, but with the condition of the interior and exterior you wouldn't think so, as it is in such good condition. Of course, there are still the odd few imperfections, but that is to be expected of a car that is now 15+ years old and has been used regularly. The Mondeo ST220 is a rare car to see on the roads, not to mistaken with the ST155 TDCi which looks similar. Jeremy Clarkson actually quoted on Top Gear once, that in 2005, less ST220's were sold than Aston Martin DB9's with around 903 being sold I believe. The ST220 uses a 3 litre Duratec V6 producing 220bhp, hence the name, and the engine is actually Porsche derived originally, but Porsche sold the engine on due to not needing it anymore. There are a few other points I wish I would have mentioned in the video, but it was a bit of a rushed shoot, as the weather started to take a bit of a turn for the worst, and the car had a few little niggly faults, meaning Ryan didn't want to have the car out for too long. When I mentioned about the kit that you get for the money, I was referring to the price of the car when new, as these cars were very well kitted out for what they cost. And I don't know of many other cars in this category that had heated rear seats back then, that was the stuff of Range Rovers, 7 Series, S Class Mercedes etc. The touchscreen is also an impressive option in my opinion, especially for a 2006 car. Another little fun fact to mention is that this particular car was registered on 19/03/2006, just two days before the car tax changes in the UK, meaning that this car falls into the lower tax bracket. As a result of this, the car is just £340 a year to tax as opposed to £585, quite a difference really. In terms of my ride experience, I can't really comment too much as wasn't out in it for long enough. The car does sound good, but is surprisingly quiet inside considering the exhaust, and far far quieter than the C63, though you do get a decent amount of induction noise from the front when you get higher up into the revs. The car feels fairly brisk, but not particularly rapid, but has enough power to enjoy without going overboard. Anyway, just a quick little video really, and a little bit on the rushed side so not really the best, but hope you enjoyed all the same. Thanks for watching.
