Deceased Soldier Kin Says 'DMK Neta And His Aides Hit The Soldier With Roads & Wooden Weapons'

A 33-year-old soldier of the Indian Army was beaten to death by a DMK councillor and his aides following a dispute over washing clothes near a water tank in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri.

On February 8, the soldier identified as Prabhu and DMK member Chinnasamy got into a heated exchange over washing clothes near a tank in the Pochampalli area. Chinnasamy, the councillor, along with nine men then allegedly attacked Prabhu and his brother Prabhakaran that night.
