Mozaico Flamenco "All Around the Map - De lda Y Vuelta"

Mozaico Flamenco and Kasandra Flamenco present "All Around The Map: De Ida Y Vuelta" which explores how Spanish Flamenco song forms were influenced by Latin American countries, particularly Cuba and Argentina. Kasandra "La China" dances 6 songs which takes the audience on a trip from Spain to Cuba to Argentina and back: Sevillanas, Guajirumba (Guajira+Rumba), Colombianas, Vidalita, Milonga and Alegrias.

The research for this project was done by Oscar Nieto, Josue Tacoronte, Kasandra "La China" and the findings are narrated through this show by Oscar Nieto. The research was funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, Digital Now and the result is episode 4 "Flamenco Cafe", an educational, multicultural program on youtube. Subscribe MozaicoFlamenco.
