Review: RisingCam RT5109 Microscope Camera

EDIT: see also this update on a no-power-on issue with the camera as well as RisingCam's support.    • RisingCam RT5109 no-power issue, repa...   - TL;DR is that 4 months in I plugged the unit into power and got no power on, RisingCam was responsive with support, first to walk me through a repair attempt, then to promptly ship out a replacement part. Will update this note after part arrives.

I absolutely suck at making a video short and concise. Ah well.

This is my review of the RisingCam RT5109 / YW5109 4K 60FPS 8.3MP microscope camera.

Disclosures: I have none. I bought the camera with my own money, received no discounts for reviewing, no kickbacks, no links to get me money or whatever. I was not solicited to do this review and received no free or discounted products of any kind related to this review, etcetera ad nauseam.

As of when I bought it the camera costs ~$500. I waited until AliExpress was having one of their sales and was able to use a coupon to reduce that. Typically if you can wait a month or so for when they run sales you should be able to use a $30 or $50 off coupon for something this expensive.
