In this video, I share my real user experience with the Reolink Altas PT Ultra security camera, where I encountered a serious malfunction. The camera keeps rotating on its own, produces a loud grinding or squeaking noise while turning, and on top of that, it cannot connect properly to the app or network.

The Reolink Altas PT Ultra is marketed as a high-end PT (pan-tilt) outdoor security camera, offering wireless connectivity, smart motion detection, and high video quality. Unfortunately, in my case, the camera became unstable and unusable due to multiple issues occurring at the same time.

Problems shown in this video:

Camera continuously rotates left and right without any command

Grinding / squeaking noise during pan or tilt movement

Connection failure – camera does not connect or keeps disconnecting

App cannot control PT movement reliably

Possible motor malfunction, firmware bug, or hardware failure
