This is the Mario Kart DS game, racing game developed and published by Nintendo. It was released for the Nintendo DS in 2005. The game is the fifth in the Mario Kart game series and the first to be playable through the Nintendo Wi-Fi online connection service. Like other games in the series, Mario Kart DS features characters from Mario series, and pits them or others while competing in go-karts on tracks based on locations in the Mario series.

In this game, the player runs a kart controlling one of the twelve characters (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, Donkey Kong, Wario and Bowser initially, together with Daisy, Dry Bones, Waluigi and ROB), each with three go-karts to choose from, a standard model (Standards), a slower model that receives better items (Selectors), and a faster model that receives worse items (Bolides).

The bottom screen can be toggled to show an overview of the entire track, or a panoramic view of the player's go-kart and its surroundings, including nearby racers, track hazards, item boxes, and player attacks. Each track has item boxes that the player can cross to receive a randomly selected item that the player can use to gain advantage over other drivers. Some items allow the player to attack other drivers to slow them down, while others can be used to speed up the player's own kart to pass other drivers more easily. This widened the range of strategies!
The game is so balanced that the odds of getting a powerful item are much higher when the player is in the last place, while when you come first the items in the boxes are simple items.

The biggest highlight of the game is Drifting, a maneuver that is essential for Misson Mode. When skidding you have to toggle between the left and right directional buttons to achieve a momentary turbocharged speed. However, the car loses some stability, forcing the player to maintain balance with his motor coordination, but this maneuver helps a lot and if the player wants to score well in Mission Mode, the drifting maneuver is mandatory. And in this video I only learned to use Drifting after fulfilling the Grand Prix! Use Drifting, it's worth it!

It is an excellent game without a doubt. The video was made including the modes: Grand Prix (50, 100 and 150cc), Mirror Mode (150cc only), Battle (divided into Ballon Battle and Shine Runners, which can be played individually or as a team) and Mission Mode (where it is missions required and even defeat bosses). It is an excellent game. I hope you enjoy the video.
