At the Together for Palestine concert in London, Riz Ahmed spoke to Novara Media about the “disinformation” and “suppression of the truth” surrounding Israel’s war on Gaza. He said the conflict is too often presented as a fight between equals “rather than occupation, rather than apartheid, rather than genocide.” He argued that fear over careers and livelihoods is stopping many from speaking out — even as the reality is broadcast “in 4K streaming live to everyone’s phones.” Ahmed called for accountability in the UK, saying he does not want taxpayer money funding “war crimes and the breaking of international law,” and urged an independent inquiry “as soon as possible.”
