"This year I am part of the new Saddleback race team and will be using the MOG, the latest frame from ENVE, to compete in the Gravel World Series in Scotland and Girona, the British Gravel Championships and the Gravel World Championships in Italy.

I’ll be riding a size 56cm that will allow me to adopt the aggressive, low position that I am looking for. I have also chosen to ride a slightly smaller frame than normal, to give me a more agile bike.

The Mog frame is built with Shimano’s gravel specific GRX Di2 11 speed. Alongside it, I will use a Wolf Tooth’s GRX 46t Drop-Stop™ B chainring, with Wolf Tooth’s patented technology that eliminates the need for a chain guide when combined with the clutch rear mech. Depending on how demanding the terrain is, I will swap the cassette between 11-40t and 11-42t.

The Mog uses a T47 bottom bracket. I have chosen a lovely Chris King ThreadFit model that is fitted for reliability and built to last, perfect for the demands of gravel riding.

Up front there is an aggressive setup, with ENVE’s fully integrated bar and stem. A long and low 130mm stem and a 42cm ENVE AR handlebar work perfectly to achieve the position I need, and along with the flare on the drops, give me the control required to ride this bike fast.

Lastly, and key to the bike’s performance, my go-to wheelset will be the ENVE 3.4. I consider this to be the best wheelset in the ENVE lineup for gravel, an ideal combination of all ENVE’s wheelsets in one. Strong and light, it can cope with the demands of this type of course while giving me an aero advantage. My Mog is finished off with Schwalbe G-One R 45mm tyres." Joe Griffiths
