Stark Odinson yearns to become an armored warrior of Asgard. However, he is found unworthy and exiled to Earth. Stripped of his godly status and memories. Stark, waking in a frigid Norwegian storm, relies on instinctive knowledge of advanced technologies to establish a tech empire under the name Sigurd Stark. Nevertheless, his amnesia continues to haunt him. After a night of drinking, he is lured into a mysterious forest by Malekith, the Dark Elf leader.

Ambushed, Stark is shot by a poisoned arrow and taken prisoner. Now expected to aid Eitri the dwarf in making weapons for elven forces. Instead, the two prisoners create a suit of armor and weapon for Stark. The armor completed just in time to stop the poison from reaching his heart. As Stark reaches for the weapon, lightning strikes and he is reborn as the Iron Hammer. Pledging to hunt Malekith, he must now travel to Asgard.

This journey across the rainbow bridge causing his memories to finally return to him. Upon arrival, Malekith is able to attack from the shadows and gain the upper hand. He then uses the lightning ring of Midgard to end our hero, but the hammer absorbs the power and redirects it back at Malekith. Delivering a vicious final blow. With Malekith defeated, his father offers to restore his immortality, but Iron Hammer wishes to remain human, now understanding what it means to be fully alive.
