BIG BEEHIVE HIKE | BEST view of Lake Louise

The Big Beehive trail is one of our favorite hikes near Banff for good reasons! Not only does it offer the most impressive view of Lake Louise, but it also takes you along multiple lakes and viewpoints. From the little Mirror Lake to a waterfall, Lake Agnes, the famous Lake Agnes teahouse, and to the final viewpoint from the Big Beehive. While the trail up until Lake Agnes and the teahouse was very busy, the final (most rewarding) push to the summit of Big Beehive was relatively quiet. From the summit, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the world-famous Lake Louise, which looks electric blue from up above! Once you reach the summit, it's time to relax and take in the views of Lake Louise, and the mountain peaks and valley that surround you!

We hiked the Big Beehive Trail at Lake Louise in July 2020. We think this hike offers the BEST view of Lake Louise. We had a coffee at the Lake Agnes Teahouse and then made the final ascent up to the Big Beehive.
