This video shows you a simple trick that you can use to improve your posture when you are drumming. Having a snare drum at your waist level gives your body the ability to slouch over when you are playing it. However, raising that snare drum up 8-12 inches forces your back to straighten when you are striking your sticks against the snare drum head.

Use this trick for 5-10 minutes in every practice session, and your body will slowly get into the habit of playing with a straightened back!
