Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 17 years in prison by a special FIA court in the Toshakhana-2 corruption case. The court ruled that the couple illegally retained a luxury Bulgari jewellery set gifted by the Saudi crown prince in 2021 after purchasing it at a heavily undervalued price. The verdict was delivered at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, where Khan is already incarcerated. Defence lawyers said the ruling will be challenged in the High Court.
