Triund is a popular trekking destination located in the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh, India. Situated at an altitude of about 2,850 meters (9,350 feet), Triund offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

The trek to Triund starts from McLeod Ganj, which is the residence of the 14th Dalai Lama and a well-known tourist destination near Dharamshala. The trek is relatively easy and can be completed by people of various fitness levels. The total distance of the trek is around 9 kilometers (5.6 miles), and it usually takes around 3-4 hours to reach the top, depending on one's pace.

The trail to Triund passes through dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and deodar trees, offering a picturesque and serene environment. Along the way, there are several tea stalls where trekkers can rest and rejuvenate. The final stretch of the trek is a bit steep, but the panoramic views from the top make it all worthwhile.

At Triund, trekkers can camp overnight in tents and enjoy the starry night sky and the majestic sunrise in the morning. There is a small forest rest house and a couple of temporary food stalls that provide basic meals and refreshments. However, it's advisable to carry your own food and water supplies as options can be limited.

From Triund, adventurous trekkers can further explore the snowline trek to Lahesh Cave, Indrahar Pass, or even continue their journey towards the neighboring valleys of Kangra and Chamba.
