After Miami led by double digits for most of the second half, Duke cut the lead down to three with 57 seconds left. The Miami defense then picked up again, and Duke did not score again the rest of the game. Playing for the first time against her former team, Shayeann Day-Wilson made 5 of 9 three-pointers for Miami on her way to a team-high 17 points. Ja'Leah Williams also had a good day for Miami with 16 points and seven rebounds. Oluchi Okananwa was Duke's leading scorer with 13 points. Jadyn Donovan had 10 points, six assists, and four rebounds for the Blue Devils.
