In 1971 when the mass protests against the government were brutally oppressed by troops led to the rise of armed conflicts between government forces and locals in east pakistan their leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman asked help from India to get themselves independence, after this the two rivals India and Pakistan began their military operations which resulted in another full scale war between India and Pakistan.

After 14 days of war Pakistani Army was forced to surrender with 90 thousands of their soldiers (largest after WW2) .
This war could have turned into World War 3 as US along with his allies sent its 7th fleet to help Pakistan as Pakistani navy was badly beaten by Indian navy who were much more powerful, as US fleet was heading for war they were surrounded by Soviets Russian Ships and Submarines and were thwarted away after US opting out of war Indian troops along with armed local rebellions seized Dhaka and forced them to retreat, this way a new nation "BANGLADESH" was made .
