In response to the RG Kar incident, Adhir Chowdhury has called for a 'Kolkata Cholo' (March to Kolkata) protest. The West Bengal Congress has announced a protest march on August 29th, from College Street to Shyambazar in Kolkata. Adhir Chowdhury stated that the march is being organized to demand justice through the execution of the culprits and a proper investigation. He had approached the Kolkata High Court for permission to hold the march, and on Tuesday, the High Court granted the permission.
