Stretch & Bobbito Show 1993-94: Method Man and Ghostface Killah freestyle

In 1993, I attended the Teacher's College at Columbia with my brother Defari and my little sister Rana. It was, in my opinion, the final wave of the golden era of Hiphop and I was blessed to experience up close the emergence of legends such as Nas, the Wu Tang Clan, Biggie, Fat Joe, the Beatnuts, Black Moon and more. Essential to this wave of early 90s MCs and crews was the Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito Show that took place right across the way from my dorm on Columbia's campus. As an avid Hiphop head, although I struggled academically in graduate school, I still stayed up every Saturday night until 1am to 3am to record the their show on my little boom box. I recently transferred all the freestyles that I had onto compact disc. I'm adding them to my Youtube channel to archive these legendary freestyles from 1993 to 1994 (the year I attended Columbia) that include: Nas, Q-Tip, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Kool Keith, O.C., Casual, Del Tha Funky Homosapien, Souls of Mischief, Large Professor, Craig G, Supernatural, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Pharoahe Monch, A.G. and Jeru The Damaja. Freestyling on the radio wasn't something MCs had the luxury of being able to do, so when they came to the Stretch & Bobbito Show you could hear and feel their passion and grit. Big up, thank you and infinite love to all those legends.
