The fight involves a lot of back-and-forth blows, with Keres and Lucian casually conversing amidst the battle. Lucian drops to 0 HP, and Gordon accidentally blinds himself. Toman finishes the last enemy, who ominously says, "He will come for you like he did your parents." Cindel emerges from hiding, shocked by the scene. They loot the bodies and find a letter indicating two traitors: Lucian and the Majin.

The group heads to the tavern and gets rooms. Thistle and Lucian share a room, where she asks if more people are coming for them. Lucian reveals his past with the web, mentioning he never received an assignment before joining the group. Thistle shares a heartfelt moment with Lucian. Gordon and Toman engage in some horseplay, while Keres stands guard in the hall.
