Chhattisgarh is a State of India located in the Central region of the country. It is bordered by Odisha to the East, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to the West, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand to the North and Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to the South.

It is the 10th largest state by area and 17th most populous state of India.

Raipur is the state capital and the largest city of the state. Other major cities are, Durg, Raigarh etc.

Politics of Chhattisgarh is dominated by the Natio parties Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC). The BJP ruled Chhattisgarh for 15 years from 2003-2018. In 2018 assembly election INC defeated BJP by winning 68 out of 90 seats and BJP won only 15 seats. However BJP won 9 out of 11 Lok Sabha seats of Chhattisgarh in 2019 general election.
