This one is all about our local spearfishing comp the 2023 Tackelworld Mackay Clougy Challenge hosted by AUF club Mackay Downunder Spearfishing Club. This competition is help annually and is one of the bigger spearfishing competitions in Australia. Held over two days, there is always alot of prizes up for grabs and makes for an awesome couple of days diving. On day one we dived the coast chasing Barramundi, we managed to find a few schools and get a spear into one. From there we headed out to the islands to try our luck chasing some bigger trout and ended up finding some amazing ground. The decision for day two was to dive a couple of local Shipwrecks. The conditions were pretty well perfect for wreck diving, with both of us securing a few more species for the competition.
