In this video, we react to a bothy for the very first time — Glenbeg Bothy in the Scottish Highlands. Tucked away in a wild corner of Scotland, it’s described as one of the country’s most remote bothies, only reachable after a long hike or cycle through incredible Highland scenery.

We were amazed by the idea that anyone can stay in these shelters, and that they’re completely free. It’s something we just don’t have in the US — and for people heading out hiking or camping, having the option of a bothy instead of a tent seems unbelievable.
