This vídeo is meant to showcase a simple system flute made by a Portuguese maker by the name of Ernesto Frederico HAUPT. The family Haup came to Lisbon in 1753 by invitation of King D. José I, for them to estabilish and make woodwind instruments. They stayed for more than one and a half centuries. This particular flute was made by the grandson of the first Haupt to arrive. The flute was recently restored by G. Tomaszewics, from Poland. The instrument should date from around 1820. Its tuning is slightly under 440Hz, around 438Hz. Hope you enjoy :)
