EMA contributor Thomas Forrest Kelly continues his Trailblazers in Historical Performance series with a round of interviews featuring some of the United State's leading educators in the field of historical performance.

This conversation features Adam Gilbert, Professor, Chair of Musicology, and director of USC Thornton's Early Music program. He has performed as a member of New York’s Ensemble for Early Music, the Waverly Consort and Piffaro, the Renaissance Band and appeared with ensembles such as ARTEK, the Folger Consort, Concert Royal, Chatham Baroque, Newberry Consort, among others. He is a founding member of ensemble Ciaramella, which performs concerts of fifteenth-century music in the U.S., Israel, and Belgium, and has recorded on the Naxos label.
