Performed at Cornell University's Barnes Hall on February 9th, 2024 with a period piano by Blüthner from Leipzig, Germany. This instrument is one of the fine pianos in Cornell's collection of historic instruments and has extra sympathetic strings adding to its resonance. This trio was premiered in May 1923 in honour of the composer's 78th birthday. It is performed here by the Archduke Trio (Matthew Bengtson, piano, Aaron Berofsky, violin, John Haines-Eitzen, cello).
