Mi Casa es Tu Casa: Bringing Arizona to the Community - Webinar

The AZ HSI Consortium hosted this webinar with guest speakers, Xvania Esquivel, Assistant Director, Undergraduate Recruitment at the University of Arizona and Cristina Bates, Senior Coordinator, Undergraduate Recruitment of Events and Customer Relations at the University of Arizona on September 12th, 2024.

The thought of college might seem scary to many students and families, and with an increase of Hispanic and Latinx students, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Arizona is aware that we need to make college more attainable for this population. We know that language can be a barrier when thinking about higher education, therefore, we have created environments where students and their families/supporters have access to valuable information in their primary language. By doing so, students and their support systems feel welcomed and become more familiar with Arizona, eventually calling it home. We welcome you to learn more about how we as professionals can challenge ourselves and institutional leadership in creating initiatives that support this important population and community.
