Canon 24-105 f4 IS USM L (Mak I)

On this episode will disassemble and discuss many points of this great lens made by Canon in order to understand how to maintain and service. Even if this lens is quite old now, it still performs excellent quality and many pro photographers are still prefers it for its versatility.

The most common problem with this lens, as you may know, is the aperture that tends to fail, or the stabilizer, both failing for the same flex cable that tends to break.

Part one will cover the main components like Mount Ring, PCB, Covers, USM Motor, AF Ring, Zoom Ring, AF\IS switch, AF Lens, Front Lens Element, etc.

The second part of this teardown will cover the remaining barrel with the IS group, Aperture group plus all the remaining components (coming soon)
